The Quehenberger Logistics Group's continues to pursue its consistent expansion policy in Central and Eastern Europe through its integration in the Luxemburg-based Thiel Group. Thiel Logistik AG is the sole owner of Quehenberger Logistik AG & Co KG. As an external partner, the Thiel Group, Grevenmacher (Luxemburg) develops end-to-end logistics and service solutions for trade and industry.
Group sales were EUR 1.8 billion in 2005 and it currently employs a staff of over 8800 in 41 countries. Thiel Logistik operates in the main European markets as well as all of the major supply markets around the globe, running 350 offices on every continent.
The Thiel Group's structure combines both decentralized and centralized elements. Decentralized applies to the operative business. Its subsidiaries are responsible for their own business and reach their decisions following the Group's strategy. Their specialized know-how and competence in the individual business segments allows them to obtain a decisive edge on the competition for their customers.
Thiel Logistik AG is quoted on the stock exchange. DELTON AG, Bad Homburg is the principal shareholder, holding 50.26 % of the share capital
