Successful Go Live in Sweden

On the 1st of June the Go Live was successfully launched in our new Continental Warehouse in Sweden. The warehouse in Viared near Gothenburg has an area of ​​20,000 m², half of which is equipped with high racks, while the second half is intended for block storage and complete wheel assembly

Between 01. to 10.06. Almost 100,000 tires were taken over by the previous service provider. On 12.06. The go-live was then carried out with the first goods receipts from the Conti plants, the first shipments to the customers and the complete wheel assembly.

In the course of the go-live, about 30 employees were enrolled in the processes and the warehouse management system, which - in the context of digitization - is operated completely paperless and with forklift scanners and mobile tire label printers.

Since Go-Live, more than 115,000 tires and rims have been outsourced and 50,000 tires and complete wheels without a single customer complaint.

 

Project leader Tomislav Busic was selected by SAP Key User for Conti, Gergö Tuba-Fichtner and a team of experienced tire experts from Croatia (headed by Matija Štuljan, Jakov Mandić and Dominik Crnić) and Romania (led by Florin Nita and Trifan Gogdan and Florian Lovasz). Andreas Kollmann trained his colleagues in Sweden on the assembly of complete wheels.

  • There is also space for 6000 tires in the warehouse - one of the largest single-rack shelves in all Conti warehouses - only the Croatian shelf is even larger in terms of capacity
  • There are also 3 lines for car tire assembly and a line for truck and agricultural tire assembly. VAS like pressing of industrial tires and siping of tires complete the service
  •  The warehouse in Sweden is now the 7th RDC (Regional Distribution Center) operated by Quehenberger Logistics on behalf of Conti.
  •  In total, we manage more than 65,000 m² of storage space for Conti
