Quehenberger Logistics Embraces AI: Automated Order Processing Revolutionizes Processes and Boosts Employee Satisfaction

"Innovations must be lived. Robert Köbrunner, Head of Q Direct, explains how AI-optimised order processing in the Transport and Document Management System (TDMS) Translogica/Dotiga creates measurable added value."

Optimised order processing maximizes both time savings and employee satisfaction. Quehenberger Logistics, based in Strasswalchen, relies on an innovative software solution with artificial intelligence from the Innsbruck-based software manufacturer Translogica. Following a successful test phase, the logistics company now fully utilizes automatic OCR order processing.

"Previously, it was necessary to create templates, involving a certain level of administrative effort. Now, it's possible to automatically recognise and capture completely unknown transport orders without any preparation," says Robert Köbrunner. This transition not only results in significant time savings but also eliminates the tedious manual order processing, thereby increasing employee
satisfaction.

The technological foundation for this is a Large Language Model (LLM), similar to the one used in Chat-GPT, but developed entirely in-house. As part of Quehenberger's digitization strategy, this transition marks a significant step in the meaningful utilization of AI in logistics. Robert Köbrunner is convinced that AI will continue to play a crucial role and, when used correctly by trained employees, lead to substantial competitive advantages.
