The new driver app from Quehenberger makes work on the road easier.

Quehenberger Logistics has developed an app specifically for truck drivers that reduces bureaucracy in their everyday lives and helps overcome language barriers. “We are working on a completely new, process-oriented architecture for the area of land transport in our digital applications,” explains Mag. Robert Köbrunner, Head of Q Direct, “and it’s not just about improving the quality and efficiency of our services, but also to give drivers a useful tool to make their work easier.”

Solidly developed

Quehenberger decided to involve the drivers in the development because it should be a “loveable” product. Last but not least, it is a question of appreciation for the drivers. “It’s organic product development. We started with a few features and collected and incorporated feedback at every intermediate stage,” says Köbrunner.

Multilingual chat function

In a first attempt, the app was tested in the company's own fleet; in the medium term, the vehicles of permanently chartered partners will also be equipped with it. The app with a transport management system connection is linked to the respective vehicle; employees can easily log in to the respective vehicle using a QR code. In addition to document and photo uploads and a damage management function, the app also includes a chat feature with over 100 languages. This means that everyone involved in the supply chain has all information immediately available, regardless of language. A huge advantage for international companies - especially in Eastern European countries that use Cyrillic script.
