As a full-service logistics provider for Europe, Quehenberger Logistics is used to fast and constantly changing conditions. But - and this was the case for the majority of European companies - we have never experienced a year like 2020 in the entire company history.

Crisis are tests, showing the positioning and stability of a company. The challenging times have made Quehenberger Logistics even stronger.

CEO Christian Fürstaller talks about the Corona months in a mid-term review: „Due to our proactive digitalisation process, we certainly had a benefit in all parts of the company. Home office, internal digital information tools such as our Q eLearning platform, or paperless processing of invoices, everything worked smoothly. The daily contact with our 18 country organisations, hourly new To Dos and a lot of our direct coordination with our Corona Task Forces could be managed digitally.” With our Quehenberger Customer Care Platform (QCCP) we offer our customers a digital tool, which shows a closed tracing chain and delivers transparency in real time. So the customers can check acutal delivery status very easy.

Strengthened by the team spirit and passionate commitment of the employees, difficult and unplannable situations could be mastered. Some of the best examples are the additional 400 employees in e-commerce warehouses, a new and thoroughly planned shift work model or short notice organization of air freight transports for urgently needed masks and protective clothing. Also internally processes had to be changed and adapted very quickly: for example the over night change to home office of a big part of the staff, organised by the internal IT department. The Quehenberger Quality Management Team had to create countless guidelines, mandatory documents and regulations in close coordination with the authorities in a very short period of time, and this for 18 countries, where Quehenberger is located. 

In addition to digital processing, another advantage was certainly the targeted focus on core industries, which Quehenberger Logistics consequently pursued since 2019. 

„Thanks to well-organised team work, state-of-the-art technologies and the solution orientation of our employees, as well as intensive contact via phone with our customers, we did not have to stop our work for one single day.
