E-mobility at Quehenberger

For Quehenberger Logistics one thing is certain: E-Mobility, of course!

Quehenberger Logistics wants to be a pioneer in innovations, alternative drives and digital solutions - therefore commitment in this area is a must for the company. The task that Quehenberger takes on as a future-oriented logistics company is taken very seriously!

“Together with our suppliers, we are working on optimising the performance and practicality of electric commercial vehicles. For many of our customers, e-mobility is becoming more and more important. This is another motivation for us to gain experience and be active here,” confirms Christian Fürstaller, CEO and Managing Partner at Quehenberger.

As a CNL member, Quehenberger is one of the first Salzburg companies to have tested an electric truck from MAN. The contract for the use of the electrically powered truck was extended for a further year in 2021.

E-transporter have also been in use since 2019 in order to be able to deliver to retail and fashion customers in city centers in the early morning hours or late at night.

As a customer, Salzburg AG asked Quehenberger Logistics to make a current statement on e-mobility and sustainability. Andreas Letsch, Director Operations and Predrag Grnic, driver of an e-transporter at Quehenberger, talk about their experience with the electronically operated fleet.

In order to be able to use more electric vehicles in the fleet, from the company's point of view there are still some tasks to be done in various areas - such as politics, manufacturers and also the power supply companies. The perfecting of the vehicles in terms of range or equipment, sufficient area-wide charging infrastructure, as well as further funding are only exemplary aspects here.

Despite the pending further implementation on the part of politicians and manufacturers, Quehenberger Logistics, as a modern logistics company, will increasingly rely on e-vehicles in the field of company car fleets and develop e-mobility concepts for all employees.
