Hydropower 2.0

Highly efficient photovoltaic systems conquer unused water bodies such as reservoirs and quarry ponds, decommissioned brown coal mines and sandpits, or flooded opencast pits. This results in a twofold benefit: otherwise abandoned water bodies are in use again, and it mitigates the conflict concerning land use.

The new market segment of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) offers huge potential for savings. Globally implemented projects show highly promising results, providing good arguments for fast expansion.
