The competition for the best logistics manager apprentice is held in Vienna this year for the third time. It takes place from the 7th to the 9th of November at the Wifi Vienna. The best graduates of the logistics manager apprenticeships in Austria are competing in a multi-disciplinary showdown. Seven modules with practically oriented questions have to be completed. The disciplines span from customer acquisition, offer calculation, transport calculation and management, sea freight management to damage and complaint management.  The competition is held over the course of three days totaling 16 hours of work time.

An independent jury consisting of Austrian logistics experts will judge the competition. Alfred Wolfram, Head of the logistics and transport department of the Austrian chamber of commerce (WKÖ) says “Being invited to participate in the competition already means a lot. Every participant delivers a high level of performance.”
The winner will, apart from the recognition, also receive a travel voucher for a city trip (Flight and hotel) to one of the European capitals for them and one additional person.

The professional association of the logistics and transport branch hosted the initial competition in 2015. This was the first time that the profession of logistics managers qualified for international skill competitions. Since then, Austrian participants already achieved a very successful second and third place in the competition.
