Multi-Million Investment for Technology Leadership and Sustainability
The comprehensive contract includes 150 firm orders for trucks as well as options for a further 200 vehicles and underscores the confidence in the proven collaboration with MAN. This agreement expands the already considerable MAN share in the fleet – a clear commitment to the quality and reliability of the brand, which has proven itself as a dependable partner over the years.
"This significant investment is far more than just vehicle procurement – it is a clear commitment to state-of-the-art technology, sustainable logistics and our aspiration to offer the best transport solutions," explains Rodolphe Schoettel, CFO at Quehenberger Logistics.
"Through our consistent fleet renewal strategy on a three-year cycle, we ensure that our drivers are always on the road with the latest and most efficient equipment."
Drivers at the Centre: State-of-the-Art Technology for Optimal Working Conditions
The systematic vehicle renewal every three years is not an end in itself, but follows a clear philosophy: only with the most modern vehicle technology can both the high quality demands of customers and the needs of drivers be optimally fulfilled. Each new vehicle generation brings improved assistance systems, more ergonomic workplaces and enhanced safety features. This contributes to the attractiveness of the driver workplace and also increases efficiency and safety in daily transport operations.
"Our drivers are one of the cornerstones of our company," emphasises Christian Fürstaller, CEO at Quehenberger Logistics. "That's why we continuously invest in vehicles that are not only technically state-of-the-art, but also offer the highest comfort and optimal performance. Modern cabs, intuitive operating concepts and innovative driver assistance systems make the difference in daily working life."
Sustainability as Innovation Driver: From Diesel to Electric Drive
A central aspect of fleet modernisation is the continuous improvement of the environmental footprint. Each new vehicle generation convinces through significantly reduced fuel consumption and lower emission values, bringing the Geis Group and Quehenberger Logistics an important step closer to their ambitious environmental goals.
Parallel to the modernisation of the conventional fleet, the company is investing massively in alternative drive technologies. Already 13 electric trucks are successfully in operation and have proven themselves in various application areas. Further electric vehicles have already been requested and will further accelerate the sustainable transformation of the logistics fleet.
Strategic Course-Setting for European Growth
With one of the most modern proprietary vehicle fleets in Europe, the company can offer its customers reliable and punctual, as well as increasingly environmentally friendly transport solutions.
The new vehicles will be successively put into operation at the various locations of the Geis Group and Quehenberger Logistics and contribute to further expansion and quality improvement. "This partnership with MAN enables us to consistently implement our growth strategy whilst simultaneously fulfilling our responsibility to the environment and society," emphasises CFO Rodolphe Schoettel.
