PRESS NEWS: Geis Group financial year 2025
"2025 was once again characterised by restrained economic conditions, high price pressure, and overall challenging market conditions. We are all the more pleased that we held our ground well and further expanded our market position," explain the managing partners Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis. "The focus was particularly on closer international integration within the group and the integration of acquired companies."
Strategically well positioned
With the acquisition of the Gras Group, the Göttingen locations of Krüger forwarding company, Agotrans, and ZZ Agency Stoll in Tyrol, the Geis Group has strategically expanded its presence in central markets and networks. These acquisitions sustainably strengthen the company's strategic position.
At the end of 2025, the Geis Group employed around 10,000 staff at over 200 locations in 14 European countries – an increase of approximately 650 employees compared to the previous year.
Road Services: Solid growth, focus on integration
The Road Services division increased its turnover by 13.6% to €1.46 billion in 2025. In Germany, growth was 26% due to acquisitions. Whilst general cargo markets remained under pressure, the LTL and FTL sectors held up relatively well. Quehenberger's industry networks also developed positively.
A central focus was on integrating the newly added locations. This process is expected to be largely completed by the end of 2026. In parallel, Geis is advancing automation in the LTL and FTL sectors through AI-supported processes.
Logistics Services: Stability and good prospects
The Logistics Services division remained stable at the previous year's level with a turnover of €406 million. Activities in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia developed particularly positively. Throughout Europe, Geis now operates more than 100 contract logistics locations and projects.
The outlook is also positive: important new customers for 2026 have already been secured in Germany and Austria. Furthermore, the corporate group sees growth potential particularly in Eastern Europe.
Air + Sea Services: Newly aligned
The Air + Sea Services division achieved a turnover of €181 million in 2025, remaining 2.3% below the previous year. The main reason for this was declining air and sea freight rates.
At the same time, the division was strategically realigned and consolidated under central management: Since April 2025, Klaus Hrazdira, COO of Quehenberger Logistics, has been responsible for the Europe-wide business. Additional impetus came in autumn with joining the international WACO network. Besides global network coverage, Geis is also positioning itself particularly in niche markets.
Quehenberger: Close integration within the group
Quehenberger Logistics – whose figures are included in the group values – also held up solidly in 2025's challenging market environment and achieved a turnover increase of 1.3% to €641 million. Road transport services with LTL, FTL, and industry networks developed particularly stably. The Air & Ocean division also remained at a solid level.
Geis and Quehenberger intensified their international cooperation in 2025 – particularly in cross-selling and internationalisation. Additional impetus was provided by establishing international corporate account management at Geis. The group is also growing together operationally in contract logistics, for example through founding Geis Quehenberger Tyre Solutions.
Future topics consistently advanced
The Geis Group placed high focus on IT and sustainability themes in 2025. Targeted investments in IT infrastructure further increased system security and stability. IT security remains a strategic priority to minimise risks early and establish a resilient organisation.
The consistent implementation of the climate strategy led to a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions in the 2025 reporting year, significantly supported by the use of 8.1 million litres of HVO. Furthermore, Geis invested specifically in its own energy and e-mobility solutions: from the large-scale battery storage facility in Bad Neustadt, through new photovoltaic areas in Nuremberg, to the further expansion of charging infrastructure.
Looking forward
"The targeted transfer of our joint strategy into operational business and the expansion of cross-selling form the focal points for 2026. For this, we are specifically developing the organisation further to integrate the companies Geis and Quehenberger internationally even more closely into a powerful, uniformly acting group," explain the managing partners Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis. "The focus is on process optimisation and investment in digitalisation and AI. Our goal is uniform, efficient structures throughout the group and even more intensive cooperation."
