  • Systematic expansion of the electric fleet in Austria
  • From 13 to 24 electric vehicles by the end of 2026 – plus charging infrastructure
  • 60 percent of its own fleet in Austria to be electric by 2027
  • Targeted and cost-effective deployment as a model for success
  • Pioneering work since 2018 – customers benefit from the company’s expertise

Quehenberger Logistics is consistently committed to expanding its electric fleet. The company is convinced that e-mobility is an essential part of the future of freight transport – whether for short distances within city logistics or long distances within national borders.

A clear growth strategy rather than a retreat
By the end of 2026, the number of electric vehicles will almost double from 13 to 24 – including the expansion of the necessary charging infrastructure. This means that 60 percent of the company’s own Austrian fleet will be electric. The course set will be consistently pursued in the years to come. Further 50 electric vehicles are planned for the following two years.

“We are convinced that electric mobility is an essential part of the future of freight transport,” explains Christian Fürstaller, CEO at Quehenberger Logistics. “That is why we are consistently expanding our electric fleet and charging infrastructure.”

Pioneering work since 2018
Quehenberger Logistics launched its first initiatives in the field of electric mobility as early as 2018. Since then, the company has built up extensive expertise – from selecting the right vehicles and planning the charging infrastructure to training drivers and optimising route planning.

“Because we’ve been involved from the very start, we understand the practical requirements. We pass this expertise directly on to our customers.”

Intelligent deployment as the key to success
The crucial difference lies in the targeted and intelligent deployment of electric vehicles. Quehenberger Logistics deploys electric trucks where they can fully utilise their strengths: in urban distribution, on predictable routes and in areas with optimal charging infrastructure.

“E-mobility in freight transport does not work on a ‘scattergun’ approach,” emphasises Andreas Letsch, Managing Director at Quehenberger Logistics. “The key lies in the precise analysis of operational profiles, strategic route planning and intelligent integration into existing logistics processes. This is precisely where our expertise lies.”

Massive expansion of the company’s own charging infrastructure
In parallel with the fleet expansion, Quehenberger Logistics is investing heavily in its own charging infrastructure. The expansion of charging points for trucks and cars at the company’s sites ensures the smooth and independent operation of the electric fleet.

“A high-performance charging infrastructure is the backbone of a successful electric fleet,” explains Christian Fürstaller. “That is why we are investing not only in vehicles, but also in the necessary infrastructure.”

Customers benefit from our expertise
Getting in early on e-mobility is paying off – especially for Quehenberger Logistics’ customers. They benefit from our many years of practical experience and receive bespoke, sustainable transport solutions.

“Our customers increasingly expect sustainable logistics solutions,” explains Andreas Letsch. “With our growing electric fleet and our expertise, we can reliably meet these requirements.”
