With effect from 1 January 2027, the Geis Group will acquire all shares in Krage & Gerloff Logistik GmbH, which is headquartered in Schwanebeck. This includes the associated real estate companies and the Magdeburg location.

This acquisition will enable us to continue our growth successfully and strengthen our position within the IDS network.

Krage & Gerloff is one of the leading logistics providers in Saxony-Anhalt, employing approximately 430 people. Founded in 1995, it offers domestic and international general cargo transport, as well as less-than-truckload and full-truckload shipments, branch logistics, and freight forwarding and warehousing solutions. In addition to the IDS network, Krage & Gerloff collaborates with the CTL and ONLINE Systemlogistik partnerships.

Krage & Gerloff’s IDS territory borders existing Geis territories directly and thus represents an ideal expansion of our network. Going forward, our group will serve 13 of the 53 total IDS depot areas, ranking among the largest partners within the general cargo cooperative.

Sebastian Gerloff will remain Managing Director and continue to lead the company alongside his team and the Geis Group management.

For him, the change in ownership is a deliberate move made from a position of strength. "Krage & Gerloff is well-positioned. At the same time, I am convinced that with a strong corporate group behind us, we are ideally equipped to meet the challenges of the coming years."

The transaction is subject to antitrust approval.
