With a high degree of automation, the innovative warehouse in Slovakia features advanced technologies such as sorters and AutoStore, enabling lightning-fast order processing. Unleashing Synergies
From Sered', customers in Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Croatia, and Hungary will be served. The project, launched two years ago, builds on the successful collaboration between Quehenberger and Sport Vision in Romania and Bulgaria. Quehenberger's strengths, including comprehensive expertise in traditional warehouse management and E-Commerce, coupled with a central point of contact, made them the preferred choice.
Mathias Friedrich explains, "We are pioneers in linking B2B and B2C activities, utilizing existing synergies to optimize processes, reduce lead times, and increase product availability for end customers. Consolidating activities at one location also contributes to sustainability."
Logistics Consulting
Sustainability is also key in terms of consultation—developing an economically successful warehouse location requires time and thorough preparation. Various warehouse locations were carefully analyzed in collaboration with the customer, detailed supply chain analyses were conducted, and the Center of Gravity was identified. The decision for the new location fell on Slovakia, where Quehenberger Logistics is well-established. In close coordination with the customer, Quehenberger selected suitable technologies for the warehouse and internally developed a tailor-made Warehouse Management System. Currently operating on 15,000 sqm of warehouse space, expansion possibilities were already considered in the layout. An increase in staff from 30 to approximately 120 employees is also planned.

For warehouse staff, this primarily means physical relief. They work in a modern workspace, and the new technologies enable much more efficient processes. In the future, more qualified IT personnel will be needed to operate and maintain these systems.
New Storage Systems
Natural Slotting allows optimal product storage based on characteristics, sales volume, and demand, while Cube Storaging enables placement up to the ceiling. This combination, also used in AutoStoreTM, enhances productivity, improves order processing accuracy, and reduces costs. Economic picking, maximization of warehouse capacity, and efficient inventory management lead to faster lead times and increased customer satisfaction.
