We have taken suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation or unauthorised access. These measures are always adapted to the latest technological standards.

Your data is only stored for as long as it is necessary and legitimate, as well as in relation to the storage obligations prescribed by law.

You can at all times exert the right to information, correction and data transmission, as well as request the deletion or restriction of processing of your personal data. 1.1 Browser data

When you use our websites, our web servers automatically collect and store information (Access data / server log files) that your browser transmits to us. This is information about

  • the browser type
  • the browser version
  • the operating system used
  • the referrer URL
  • the host name of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • the time of the server request
  • the amount of data transferred
  • the confirmation message, if the retrieval was successful

The IP addresses of users will be deleted or anonymised after the end of use. In the case of anonymisation, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that they cannot be assigned to an identifiable natural person with the information available to us.

The data in the log files are evaluated by us in an anonymous form and solely for the purpose of further improving our website and making it more user-friendly, as well as to identify and fix technical errors faster. In addition, they are used to control the capacity of servers, in order to be able to provide corresponding data volumes where required.

1.2 Website Tracking - Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device using the browser. They do not cause harm, but serve to allow our web server to recognise your computer and make it easier for you to navigate and use our website.

We use cookies to make our website user-friendly and to provide you with an optimum website visit. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them.

You can set your browser to notify you before you receive a cookie. This gives you the opportunity to decide if you accept the cookie. You can also set your browser to disable cookies. However, in this case, some services of our website may not function properly. For more information about the cookies used on this website, please see in our cookie-notice.

1.3 Website Tracking - Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

We only use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymisation. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

In our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address provided by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data provided by Google. This data will deleted after 26 months.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to the fullest extent possible. In addition, you may prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as the processing of this data by Google, by using the link below (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en) to download and install the available browser plug-in.

For more information about Terms of Use and Data Protection, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms or https://policies.google.com.

1.4 Google Re/ Marketing Services
Based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in analysis, optimisation and efficient operation of our online offering in the sense of article 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR), we use the marketing and remarketing services (“Google marketing services” for short) of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) (“Google”).
The Google marketing services allow us to show our advertisements for our website or on our website in a more targeted manner in order to only show users advertisements that potentially correspond to their interests. If a user, for example, is shown advertisements for products that he or she is interested in on other websites, this is called “remarketing”. For this purpose, when our and other websites are called up on which Google marketing services are active, Google runs a code directly from Google and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or codes, also called “web beacons”) are incorporated into the website. Using these, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user’s device (comparable technologies may also be used instead of cookies). The cookies can be set by different domains, including by google.com, doubleclick.net, invitemedia.com, admeld.com, googlesyndication.com or googleadservices.com. This file notes which websites the user visits, which content he or she is interested in and which offers he or she clicked. In addition, it notes the technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, dwell time as well as other information about the use of the online offer. The user's IP address is also recorded, whereby Google Analytics tells us that the IP address is shortened within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and only in cases of exception is sent to a Google server in the US in full and shortened there. The IP address is not combined with user data within other offers from Google. Google can also combine the aforementioned information with such information from other sources. If the user then visits other websites, he or she may be shown tailored advertisements that meet his or her interests.
The user data are pseudonymously processed as part of Google marketing services, i.e. Google does not save and process the name or the email address of the user, for example, but rather processes the relevant data related to cookies within the pseudonymous user profiles. From Google's point of view, the advertisements are therefore not managed and displayed for a specific identified person, but rather for the cookie owner, regardless of who this cookie owner is. This does not apply if a user has expressly permitted Google to process the data without this pseudonymisation. The information collected about the user by Google marketing services is sent to Google and stored on Google servers in the US.
The Google marketing services we use include, among other items, the online advertising program “Google AdWords”. In the case of Google AdWords, each AdWords customer receives a different “conversion cookie”. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who opted for conversion tracking. The AdWords customers learn the total number of users who have clicked on their advertisements and were directed to a page provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.
We can also use the “Google Optimizer” service. In the context of so-called “A/B testing”, Google Optimizer allows us to track the effects of different changes to a website (e.g. changes to the input fields, the design, etc.). Cookies are stored on the user's devices for these test purposes. Only pseudonymous data of the user are processed here.
In addition, we may use the “Google Tag Manager” to incorporate the Google analysis and marketing services in our website and manage them.
You can find additional information about data usage by Google for marketing purposes on the overview page: policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de; Google’s privacy policy declaration can be accessed at policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
If you would like to object to the interest-based advertising by Google marketing services, you can use the setting and opt-out options provided by Google: adssettings.google.com.
