At Quehenberger we focus on digitalisation and innovation which lead us to the creation of the "Quehenberger Loads" app. The app collects order data which the drivers receive via email or SMS. No need to switch between multiple systems and devices. The app tracks the loading and unloading process of all direct transports (FTL/LTL). The smartphone GPS allows for tracking of the journey and location. Common POD scanner are replaced by a more user-friendly Android smartphone which also comes with the following benefits:

  • Lowered hardware cost compared to POD scanners
  • Direct order delivery to drivers
  • Easy loading and unloading documentation via app
  • Journey and position tracking
  • Sending of POD status updates
  • Barcode scan via smartphone
  • Backup system for holiday absence

This is how it works: Our drivers and freighters get the order details via E-Mail or SMS which are then handed over to our app. Our drivers and freighters can use the app to scan barcodes and set the delivery status. A huge advantage is the option of taking pictures, so that delivery notes, return goods, damaged goods or weighing slips can be saved right in the app. Pallet exchange can also be documented in the app. Last but not least it gives the possibility of having the customer sign the receipt which finalises the order process.  

The "Quehenberger Loads" app serves as a good example of how digitalization can optimise processes and in the end save both cost and time.
