Bad Neustadt / Strasswalchen, 17. August 2023. The green light for the transaction agreed at the beginning of May: the antitrust authorities have approved the takeover of 66 percent of the shares in Quehenberger Logistics (Augustin Quehenberger Group GmbH) by the Geis Group.

"We are pleased that the largest acquisition in our company's history has now officially been completed," say Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis, Managing Partners of the Geis Group. "Now we're going to really get started and bring our teams together to get to know each other and discuss common projects."

Bundled strength

"Geis is very well positioned when it comes to efficiency, quality and sustainability, while we at Quehenberger are very advanced in terms of digitalisation and artificial intelligence," explains Christian Fürstaller, CEO and co-owner of Quehenberger Logistics. "Together we will now bring together the best of both companies and develop it further."

A total of around 10,000 employees work for Geis and Quehenberger at around 200 locations in 13 countries and generate sales of around two billion euros.

"Our customers now have an even stronger logistics partner at their side," say Hans-Wolfgang Geis and Jochen Geis. "On the basis of this bundled strength, we will offer even more extensive, excellent logistic solutions."
